Homelessness Research & Action Collaborative

The Homelessness Research & Action Collaborative addresses the challenges of homelessness through research and evidence-based science that uncovers conditions that lead to homelessness.

The Homelessness Research & Action Collaborative’s goal is to help reduce homelessness and its negative impacts on individuals, families and communities. The Collaborative brings together the expertise and skills of each of Portland State University’s colleges and schools, and collaborates with people experiencing homelessness, advocates, service providers, city and county policymakers and other stakeholders.

Dr. Greg Townley is the Director of Research for HRAC, and several of his graduate students support the collaborative with ongoing research projects.

HRAC is working hard to keep Portland informed, advocate for policy changes, shift the harmful and mythical narratives about homelessness, and support the local community. You can stay up-to-date with HRAC through twitter, instagram, facebook, and youtube!
